Barbara opened Kennedy Day Salon & Day Spa 15 years ago.  This unique salon & day spa is located just north of Kennedy Boulevard on Howard Avenue.  Barbara believes in giving back to the community.  To do so, her day spa is involved in a number of charities and organizations (too many to list) and sponsors a program at the Alpha House assisting new mothers preparing to re-enter the work force.  Another charity close to her heart, Miracles Outreach, provids a home for teenage girls so they don't bounce around to different foster homes. She donates sevices to the girls as long as they stay in school. Kennedy Salon & Day Spa has received numerous awards and acclamations, such as Best of the Bay (Best Day Spa), Best of the Bay (Best Stylists - Barbara Kennedy), and Best in Show at the Women's Expo.  Kennedy Salon & Day Spa has also been featured in The Tampa Tribune "Spa Experiences", Flair Magazine, Spa Finders Magazine. It chosen by Sports Illustrated to entertain the magazine's guests during the Super Bowl. Recently was awarded Best of Bussiness 2011 by the Small Business Community Association.

The Japanese have a special meaning for "you're welcome."   When translated into the English language it means "How else can I serve you?" For the past 30 years I've had the pleasure of dressing hair and make-up.   I believe in the beauty of the individual and I have pride and enthusiasm for my accomplishments. -- Barbara
